Decor can be tricky and most of us have experienced that feeling of overwhelm when we walk into HomeSense and see aisles and aisles of decor. There’s a lot to take in and we have a lot of questions - what size, what finish? What if there was a service where all the decor you need showed up at your door? Well now there is!
I’m happy to announce that Kristina Gray Design has a new offering called Decor To Go. I will take away the headache of shopping and styling. With my personalized styling service you’ll be able to finally have that finished home that you’ve been working so hard to create. And it all happens without any effort on your part, quickly and easily.
HOW DOES DECOR TO GO WORK?

Let’s be honest. I do a lot of interior design and staging work and one thing stands out to me more than anything else. Consistently I see a lack of decor and styling in homes. This is the hard part and often we get our space feeling almost complete but something’s missing. It’s the finishing touches.
If you’ve been driving from store to store, buying and returning decor items, you may be ready to throw in the towel. You may have already done that and resigned yourself to the fact that your house will remain unfinished.
Part of the frustration you may feel is that regardless of what pieces you bring home, they just don’t work. Consider that the lighting in a retail store is much brighter than in your home so yes, finishes will look different. The scale of things look different in a retail store because their ceilings are high and they have immense amounts of space, often crammed with items. Not surprisingly, what appeared to be the perfect vase to fill the space on your mantle looks enormous and out of place at home.
We also severely underestimate how much decor we actually need to create that layered, finished look. You may take home 10, 20 or even 30 pieces and find that it hasn’t made a dent in the overall look of your space. It all comes down to the scale and it’s hard to determine what scale is right for you without a designer by your side.

1/ INQUIRY & DISCOVERY CALL

It all begins with your inquiry. You can visit my website and peruse all of my offerings. If Decor To Go sounds right for you, reach out via my contact page. Once I receive your inquiry I’ll contact you and set up a time for your complementary discovery call.
During this call we’ll discuss your space and your personal design style. We’ll talk about your preferences and lifestyle so that I know which decor pieces would work best for you. We’ll also discuss how many of your home’s rooms will be included. The more I know about your space, the more accurate I’ll be in selecting the perfect decor pieces for you.
2/ PAY YOUR DEPOSIT

Every decor styling project requires a $500 non-refundable deposit. This deposit will be put towards your decor purchases but it is required to get the project started. I’ll send you an invoice and once it’s paid we’re ready to begin.
3/ YOU SEND ME PHOTOS OF YOUR SPACE

Once our discovery call is complete and the deposit has been paid you’ll send me an email with a few photos of your space. You’ll be given direction on the photos that I need in order to get started. This will allow me to see the space, the fixed materials and the furniture. These are all clues for me about what size, shapes and finishes will work best in your space.
4/ PROPOSAL IS SENT TO YOU

Now that I’ve gathered all your personal information about your style and your home, I’ll create a Proposal for you to approve. This will be an estimate of the cost that is required to purchase items and complete the decor styling and give you the beautiful and finished space you’ve been longing for.
5/ STYLING DATE IS SET

Next, we coordinate our calendars and find a day that works for both of us. When the arranged date arrives I’ll show up ready to work. My vehicle will be filled with all the decor items I’ve personally selected for you based on our conversations and your photos.
This service brings the best decor for your space, personalized and delivered right to your door. This will be love at first sight when you see how the right decor can take your home to a 10/10.
6/ KEEP THE DECOR YOU LOVE AND LOSE THE REST

When my work is complete I’ll show you everything I’ve included. Now it’s your turn to decide what stays and what doesn’t. I’ll take back any pieces you don’t love although I promise there will be very few of those. Now you can sit back and enjoy your beautifully styled home.
At the end of our session I’ll calculate the total of all the decor items you’ll be keeping. Payment can be made quickly and easily right on the spot. It’s that simple!
WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED IN DECOR TO GO?

With this service you pay for only the items you keep. There’s no charge for my time in selecting the items, driving to your home or styling the pieces. Given that, it’s important that I be able to manage the day quickly and efficiently. These are some of the questions you may have about what’s included.
1/ CAN YOU USE DECOR ITEMS FROM MY HOME?
This is not a design service and my time is very limited. That means I’ll come in and style just the pieces I’m delivering. After I’ve completed the styling you’re free to go and add in your personal items.
If you require more design time we can arrange for you to purchase one of my paid services and I can tackle the styling in more detail and depth.
2/ CAN I SHOP WITH YOU?
All of the shopping is done by myself and my team. Because we’re all experienced at selecting items we move quickly. We don’t allow clients to participate in this shopping experience.
3/ WHAT IF I CHANGE MY MIND AFTER YOU’VE LEFT?
Unfortunately, there are no adjustments once the final bill has been paid. For that reason I ask that you consider everything before I leave.
4/ CAN YOU TELL ME WHERE YOU FOUND THE ITEMS?
The purchases you make are from Kristina Gray Design. I have several sources where I shop that are trade-only. That means you don’t have access to them as a consumer.
